The old town of Tryavna was nice and hospitable. The chronicler priest Yovcho wrote with his trembling hand: "In the year 1680 a man named Dimo came here to buy cattle. He arrived in the village of Tryavna, which was free and in a quiet place. As the locals had to protect the “great pass” they did not pay tax and were living quietly. Dimo decided to settle here and took a virgin named Bela and then bought а place and built a home with gardens."
